Default Oil leak around K&N hose coupler to throttle body

Noticed I have been losing quite a bit of oil from the H3. It is not leaking and never burned oil, what has changed is that I installed the K&N. Looking around I noticed quite a bit of oil on the K&N intake, the oil is on the coupler that connects to the throttle body. Pretty sure hose clamps have a death grip. What would cause this oil buildup, does the H3 have a PCV valve somewhere?

We could use a pic to help.

The H3 has no "PCV Valve". it does have 2 means of PCV the main venting is done into the Intake Manifold, the bigger secondary vent is to the port at the rear top of the head which kicks in around 70% throttle.

If you are burping oil into the intake you may have too much positive pressure because of a malfunctioning valve, or excessively worn rings.

Here you go.

As you can see in the pic, the coupler and connecting hose are both covered in oil.

Not that I am aware of and I didn't notice the oil buildup for a year or more. I do have a CE light, but its related to Evap Canister (PO449). K&N has been on there for 4yrs now.

Sorry--- bad choice of words. I should have said only modification is the K&N. My apologies.

Doc, if these is a worn valve, where should i begin to look. I would hope its not worn rings, I just hit 100K and those are highway only. Engine running strong.

Only codes I have ever experienced are PO449 and PO171.

Default pcv action

air from air filter goes to the air baffle or the kn device, thru the hose connected there to the head, down thru the crancase and up thru the tubing going to the intake where vacume is higher. its a one way trip thru a small orfice on the head top. thats the only way air can get in there.
most pcv is at idle where the throttle is closed.
there is no valve. i read this here years ago by ??
i dont see oil escaping in a vacume system, a leak would let air in, not oil out,
rings, blowby,??. still hard to figure how it gets out where you have it.??

These are great ideas, but where should I start to troubleshoot? Has anyone seen this type of oil buildup with the stock airbox/intake?
