I am looking for a place that sells black accessories as well. Not many out there and none sell black door handles.

There are not many options out there for aesthetic Hummer accessories anymore aside from the overpriced stuff that hasn't sold, i.e. tail light guards by Rear Wheels for $400. rims and step bars are every where but otherwise it's the waiting game on CL, ebay etc. Factory offroad accessories are getting slim as well but there is aftermarket availablity.

If I had solid, chrome plated door handles I wouldn't trade them for black plastic that fades and has the possibility of breaking. Buy some painting supplies and start experimenting.

Also Romanzz, are you sure you don't have ABS plastic covers on your handles and especially, your mirrors?

Good question Widespread. Any easy way to check? And if so, what's the best way to take them off?

That would save me a ton of hassle if I could just take the covers off. The bottom part of the mirrors that connect to the car are black so you may be right in the assumption that they are just covers.

Thanks for your time in advance.

I am pretty sure you have covers. You should be able to tell by flicking it with your finger nail, if there is a hollow type sound it's plastic. I'm not sure the best way to get them off. I think the door handle covers are 2 pieces that snap together. Look for a seam. If there is any double sided tape on the mirrors, some work with a hair dryer will loosen that.
