I saw a skid plate for sale on the philadelphia craigslist. Not sure if you need but thought I would post for the hell of it.

Sounds good. Any idea on the cost and type of finish treatment?

No cost estimates yet, looking at CAD drawings tomorrow.

Finish coat??? Doesn't really matter, it's gonna get scraped off anyway! Paint, most likely...but that's an end decision. Gotta fab up a prototype first

I just had my skid plate powder coated to match my truck. The guy 2 toned it for me black H2 on white. It looks awesome. Powder coating is the way to go.

If you are actually going to wheel it, no finish in the world will stay on the UCP. When you put 6000lbs on top of a rock and scrape across it paint, powder coat, etc will be gone. Best to take it off after every wheeling season and touch it up with a rattle can.

obviously it will get banged up....but until then, no sense in having untreated bare metal rust out.
