Default Noise from steering column?

Ok need some help if possible. My 03 h2 is all of a sudden making a groaning noise when ur parked and turning wheel. Truck was just in shop and did not mention bearings at all. The noise becomes a squeak when you go slow and turn. I'm lookin to sell truck so this is something I need to fix. Thanks guys

are you sure its from the steering column and not the power steering pump or box?? I would check the PS fluid first just to make sure its at the appropriate level-maybe an easy fix.

Its the pump. Try giving it a little throttle while lightly riding the brake- Spins up the pump a bit for additional pressure.

The squeak is most likely the belt slipping on the pump. Belt could be warn/dirty, tensioner could not be holding the belt the tighest possible, possible the pumps failing/starting to get alot of resistance spinning slipping the belt. Could be a combination of all of the above.

If that pump takes a ****, dont even think about putting a stock replacement back in it. Call AGR Performance and order one of their pumps, doesn't cost much additional. You wont believe the diffrence it would make.
