ORIGINAL: D VADER
I wish they had "Tear Off" windshields like NASCAR for those long trips. It would beat cleaning the bugs every time you stopped.
Yes, I would buy clear cover for the fenders. I wonder if we could interest anybody in making them for a group buy?

Cover for the rear fenders would be a good idea, I'd buythat. [sm=smiley20.gif]
And also...the glue used on this film isLOADED with UV absorbers, without it the glue would not last a year in the sun, so your paint will fade less where it is covered.

Doc/Vader - sorry for the delay, I've been traveling a bit. I'll try and get a hold of Alan tomorrow and see if he was able to find the pattern or get someone to draw it up. I'll let you know what I find.
I went off-roading this weekend for the first time and found out that with the Adventure package tires the mud is thrown almost directly at the fender flares on the rear doors. It definitely looks like an area that should be covered with some protection.

RE: RE:
Whoever you have to put it on for the bra area should be able to put it on the fenders as well. It comes in big rolls and the installer just uses a pattern to make the bra, kinda like a seamstress uses a pattern to make a dress. The hard part for my wrap was the the corners of the fenders because of the mutliple bends to cover all 3 planes. What the installed did was cut a small hole right at the corner then trim the ends to meet along the edge. It's pretty slick looking. I'd take pics, but I added some serious earth tones over the 4th of July and I haven't driven it, let lone wash it since.

RE: RE:
Linus - are you trying to create a hard-shell protective coating with that caked-on mud by leaving it on so long?
You are right, I had a different installer do custom parts for my wife's car. However, I like the clean, even sheets die-cut for the application like the fenders.Alan has an in with a pattern-making company, so I'm thinking he can get it done right for this relatively simple application. I hope to find out tomorrow.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late reply, I've been traveling a lot lately and not much time for forum browsing/posting. I got word back from Alan Seligman about the pre-cut patterns of 3M Clear Bra for the rear passenger-door fender flares. The cost is $60 for the pair of pre-cut patterns, ready to install. If you are local (Orlando, FL area) and lazy like me, the installed price is $150 for both doors, minusa discount for the Hummer Forums folks. Please lethim know you heard about it on HummerForums.com from me.
Here is his contact information again:
