Default Newbie....Needs help!!

Hello.
I am looking at purchasing a H2 in the immediate future...hopefully within the week.
I am having a tough time figuring a few things out...hopefully you guys can shed some
light on these issues and help me with my decision.

First of all...what are the differences between a base model H2 and one with the LUX package?
Basically I can afford a new 2006 H2...base model...with the rebates being offered now.

Or I can buy a used 2005 H2 LUX loaded with DVD, NAV, etc. for about the same cost.

I like nav, the dvd system, but they are not necessary. I am really wondering what else I will
give up - if I go with the base model H2.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Jason

Hey and WELCOME!!

There is not alot of difference and to be honest, IMO the aftermarket Navs available are WAY better than the OEM. I have the Eclipse in my Rig and the wife has the OEM in the Escalade. We BOTH agree that mine is alot better. More functions, plus it ALSO plays DVD's. So you can always do that LATER!!

I guess it's WHAT YOU WANT that matters. The one thing I couldn't do without is Heated Leather Seats, but that's just me Plus I'd HAVE TO HAVE the Ebony Interior. Everything else can be purchased later(and chepaer on eBay)!!

Here is whats listed:

ADVENTURE PACKAGE: (includes Air Suspension Package, Brush Grille Guard, First Aid Kit / Tool Kit / Flashlight, Black Roof Rack Crossbars, 6 Disc in-dash CD Changer and Carpeted Floor Mats)

LUXURY PACKAGE: (includes AM/FM radio with 6-disc CD changer, heated leather front seats, chrome appearance package, tubular assist steps, and custom carpet floor mats)

INDIVIDUAL OPTIONS:

3rd Row Seat $500
6 Disc CD Changer $350
Air Suspension Package (Rear Air Spring suspension system, On-Board Air Compressor) $1,025
Brush Guard $525
Chrome Appearance Package $700
First Aid Kit / Super Tool / Mag Light $215
Leather Heated Seats $1,400
Power Skyroof $995
Hard Cargo Carrier $550
Brush Guard-Mounted Off-Road Spotlamps $450
Roof-Mounted Off-Road Spotlamps $950
Tubular Assist Steps $425
Removable U-Steps $450
Roof Rack Crossbows $400
Tubular Tail Lamp Covers $250
Wrap-Around Brush Guard $599
Carpeted Floor Mats $200

There is another thing to consider on your purchase. The warranty on the 05 wil be 3 years or 36k whichever comes first. The 06 is 4 years or 50k whichever comes first. If the 05 is used you could get it hummer certified to extend the warranty. I think it would be 6 years or 100k whichever comes first but I could be wrong on that so don't quote me. Steve
