Default New wheels checklist

Hey guys, before you say search... I have! I just need everyones opinion just to make sure these new wheels will fit. Also, background information, I have not leveled the front end and this is a daily driver - no off roading. I would like to lift the H3 but there is no point in paying $2,500 for a lift kit when it will serve no purpose but for looks, so that is out of the question.

I have a H3x with 62,xxx on the stock tires and want to change the wheels out to Eagle Alloy Series 186 (1864-9966).

They are 18x9, 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern, offset of 2, and backspacing of 5.00". I used these 2 threads to try and figure out what tire size I needed

Tire size calculator

and have come to the conclusion that I want a bigger tire than the stock size to give it a meaner look so I think 315/65/18 (34.1"/12.4"/18) Nitto Terra Grappler or Goodyear Wranglers to wrap the new rims would do the job. My questions are:
  1. Will there be any rubbing?
  2. Will they fit with the offset and backspacing they have?
  3. Will I need an alignment after I install the new wheels?
  4. Any other suggestions?

I went with Fuel 17X9 black wheels. they have stock offset and dont stick way out,12.50x35 pro comps and no rubbing issue anywhere. Took off my last set and sold em as them looked really stupid hanging out and covered the side with snow sand badly ,Jus a thought

if you don't do any offroading, the odds are slim, but there is a change at full lock. Make sure that the hub bore is big enough. the H3 has a 100mm hub. you back spacing will be fine, but they will still stick out a little since you are going from a 7.5" wheel to a 9" wheel. If all you are doing is wheels and tires there is no reason to get an alignment, but if you crank the t bars you will want one.

Careful im running 325 65 18s and they rub even with a 2-3 inch lift and level kit.
