Thumbs up New transmission oil cooler

I just want to share this experience...

I don't know why H2's has that small tranny oil cooler. My Yukon GT has a similar transmission (4L60E) and came with a bigger/thicker one from factory. I read about some heating issues on H2 trannys. Mine some times reach 200F or a little over. Yesterday I install a new oil cooler Tru-Cool (40,000GVW) and incredibly the temp low to 150F. Hope this help to extend the life of the 4L65E.

Did you bypass the radiator cooler?

Yes...bypass the radiator cooler.

All connections in steel tubing no rubber hose. A lot difficult but safer and better looking.
