Default New Sub Woofer for H3

I don't remember where I saw information about this.... I searched to try and find it again, but no luck...

JL Audio's new stealth box for the H3. I called my local JLA dealer and they are proud of this little sucker.. $530.00!! And that's without the amp!

I have th4e JL audio stealth box in one of my Camaros and it totally rocks. This would be a nice upgrade to the existing system!

Jeremy: You don't need this to listen to your banjo music........ Yeah that's right. We ALL knew why you had you windows closed when we went off-roading. We just kept it to ourselves when we all switched CB channels and were talking about you

It will drive it, but not really optimal. You would want to add an inline amp that can drive that puppy better.

The Monsoon amp puts out 100W to the subwoofer and 25W to each of door speaker channels (25Wx4 + 100W). The JL is rated for 150W so driving itwith the stock amp should not be a problem. If you really want to go loud, you may want to consider driving it with a new 150W - 200W amp. A new amp would also give you control over the output to help match the level of the other speakers(aftermarket amps usually provide an inputlevel trim control).

Anyone know the size of the stock subwoofer? I can't remember if it's 8 or 10 inches. If it's 8",an upgrade to10" would extend the low frequency response significantly.

I wonder if the Amp has variable impedence matching or fixed..cuz some of these subs maybe 4 ohms whereas the Monsoon sub maybe 8 ohms.. or visa versa...etc.

I had a stealthbox in my old Grand Cherokee...It sounded fantastic and nobody could tell it was there! I really like the sound of the Monsoon system, but this is tempting!
