New owner with electical issue
Hello folks just purchased a 2006 h2 and i am having some issues with the oem offroad lights. The switch lights up when you flip it on however the lights do not light up. I didnt get a manual with the vehicle, but i referred to one online and i cant seem to find any troubleshooting info. Any help would be appreciated the bulbs do not appear to be burnt out.
I am also in need of navigation disk and roof rack keys if anyone could point me in the direction of some of these that are reasonably priced.
Thanks
Matt

The only way to be sure the bulbs aren't burnt out is to pull one and put a multimeter across the two terminals. I would do that before trying anything else.
If you go the the Elcova Forums there is a thread in the H2 group going on where guys with keys are sending keys to guys that don't have them. The most I've seen someone want is $5. You will need to look at one of your locks to see what key number you need, e.g. E003. It's stamped right on the cylinder. They range from 001 to 005 as far as I know.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a look at that and see if it is the problem. I just looked at the lights and can anyone tell me how the heck you access the bulbs? I do not want to pull or push on the wrong part and break it.

Something to consider regarding the roof rack key: The only function it serves is to take the end caps off. You do not need the key in order to remove the racks. Unless you plan to store something inside the rack or need to replace the black plastic strip on top of the rack you will get along just fine without a key.

I took the number of the end cap to a local lock smith and they looked the number up and cut two for my self at $9.00 CDN each. So for $18.00 I had two key's made with only the serial number of the end caps. Should cust about the same or a bit less in the US.
