The New Jeep! (GASP)
Hey guys, I made a thread awhile ago saying I was getting rid of the Hummer, and picking up a Jeep, more specifically an 06 Rubicon Unlimited. I still hang around the forums, and still get a lot of PM's and emails about H3 audio stuff too.
Some people expressed interest in seeing my Jeep when I got it so here it is. I know some of you guys are hardcore into the whole "I drive a Hummer Jeeps must die" thing, but I hope some of these pictures put a smile on your face half as big as the one my Jeep gives me.
Saying goodbye to the H3. Still miss that damn truck.
Here it is the day after I bought it. Mastercraft street tires on a Rubicon? Sinful. Oh well, at least I know it was never wheeled. So much for that, this thing is about to become a dirty little trailslut.
The night it pulled into the garage:
Picture showing how beefy the new control arms are. Ever do a 6" long arm lift on jack stands? My advice? Don't.
Final night of work almost a full week later, buttoning up all the loose ends:
Running around the next day getting the exhaust modified to clear the lift. It's running a Flowmaster Super 40 now. All new custom bent exhaust from the manifold downpipe back. We also "forgot" to put the converter back in since it didn't have any O2 sensors around. Sounds nasty.
Oh look, a baby Jeep...
And of course testing everything out after finishing up the exhaust. This is just a small plot of land my 4x4 club build for our testing grounds anytime we work on our rigs.

Also, I'm waiting out the salt on the roads from winter right now. I've got a spare bedroom full of boxes and crates. As soon as it gets warm enough to get back in the garage it's getting new front and rear bumpers, tire carrier, rocker protection/steps, tube fenders, and more.
