Default New hummer owner questions

I'm a new hummer owner and have several questions. My hummer has 35x12.50x17R's on it right now if i add a leveling kit what size tires could I put on it? Also the gauges lights do not come on but they work fine does anyone know what might be the issue? Has anyone installed a gas chip and had good results? Also, mine has a roof rack that is 4" inch tall solid aluminum, would removing this rack relieve enough drag that would be noticeable?

I ran 37" tires in my H2 without leveling the truck. I lost about a mile per gallon when I added my roof rack.

No gauge lights may be your dimmer switch. Are your radio lights affected as well? Assuming the radio is factory.

I have installed the chip and after the first refill, my mileage went up 1.4mpg. This number may be affected by an emergency run I had to make in downtown Dallas at traffic time. I think the number will go up once I am back to normal driving.

I used the G-Force chip. It was around $75 with shipping. Easy to install.

Before installing the chip, my mileage on every fill up was either 9.9 or 10mpg. After installation, with a trip during rush hour and sitting on side streets for an hour, my mileage jumped to 11.4mpg. I am retired and only fill up once a week but it is always around 165 miles, so the driving has been the same every week.

^well you get what you pay for. Think of Hypertech who sells their programmers for $300+ and on our rigs I think they give 21hp. Big difference in price and gains-I'll leave you to decide which one actually works.
