Thanks Buddy..I been looking at several makes and they all say voice prompting, and I was always wondering if that meant it prompts you at every change of the course,or you gotta poke the screen to get it to say something....Cool beans, now I know.....It is WAAS enabled?..that will put you within a 2 meter accuracy (78")...I worksomewhat with the WAAS satellitenetwork ground coordinating units.

yes mine does - I plug in the addy OR I do a search for a place I want to go to (purse store lol restaurant, etc) and then I don't touch it agaim til HE tells me to turn into my destination.....but then we have had this discussion before Garmin Nuvi 350..does all sorts of neat things including has an mp3... AND it's smaller!

Denny, I'll have you know I just purchased a Coach (we have great outlets here) briefcase/tote bag!

In all seriousness tho, back when researching them, the little guy at Circuit City said Garmin and Tom Tom were about the best& most popular. Just check them out and see which models do what you want in a GPS. I also did my research to see who had the best prices and got mine thru a vendor off Shopzilla.com..received itin in 3 days UPS and paid a couple hundred less than what they were retailing for at the time ($699.00)- new & not refurbished...however prices have dropped much since then to about what I paid. ($472.00 shipped)

the new toy worked gr8 today
i found all kinds of kool stuff on it
i got the mph and the compass turned on
i got the home address entered and did a return home route
so kool
it gave me time i would be home atpresent speedand miles home
i even got to talk on the bluetooth

im sure most of yall already knowthese things
but being the first time i have messed w/ a gps
i thought all the features aresweet, i even did the night mode
on the drive up to the land this morning

so i would give the tomtom go 510a twothumbs up

 

In my Jag the nav system has a British female voice..and pretty hot too I might add...I sort of grew attached to her on the 24 hour trip home with the car from Sarasota, Fl...I guess it sorta reminded me of the my lovely bride..Interupted the radio, Told me were to go and when to do it...CONSTANTLY!
