Default New Gas Plan

President Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal aliens. That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would have to come down as a result.

See, wasn't that easy?!

The man has a point .... kick em out ... what I find ironic however is that most of ya'll over here in the states once started out the same way ... just a long time ago! Ohh yeah, I'm an immigrant myself .. the legal kind .... I'd still support deportation of illegals .. them @#$%@#$%@#$ people are an insult to everyone who paid their dues and did it the right way ....

Very true Nick...America ain't about turning people away..it's about getting you in the system legally like our forefathers did, and putting you to work legally and getting you on the tax roles so you can be a productive element of this society and not a social parasite.

I agree, there is a system in place for immigrating, and while not perfect, it works. For the people who go through the process, illegals make a mockery, while taking the very benefits those gone through properly are entitled to.

You can always twist it around though ... they take jobs most americans wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole ... so where do we draw the line then!?

That's a very valid point. But a reason nobody wants those jobs may be due to our distorted view of them. Just because there are people who are desperate enough to do these jobs, by allowing this, we propogate the notion that this is acceptable. If there was nobodyavailable to work for these "undesirable" jobs, the conditions/rates of pay would need to be bettered to make the job more attractive, and would find a new group of workers.
Unfortunately, our systems preach equality, yet are really built on a pyramid, where people on the top always benefit from people below, so there is a need for "lower class" workers. It is a tricky line to walk.

Equality is a pipe dream at best .. this (and other) countries was bought and paid for a LONG time ago .... and as far as bettering these jobs .. let's face the facts, you are not going to be paid $20 dollars/hour to clean toilets or pick berries for example. It's called "unskilled labor" for a reason and the saleries are setaccordingly ... Imagine how a 4 year college grad would feel like making only a few bucks more than the guy emptying his garbage can. Where's the perk with investing in getting an education!?

As long as we live in a monitary society equality is an impossibility ... money (and power which essentially is the same thing) will always be a divider ...

Agreed. But that does not mean we should stop looking or talking about "better" solutions.
