Default New Addition to the Family!

A bunch of you all probably seen this already, BUT..........
Guess what showed up in my driveway....
I bought a Yellow 97 H1 HMCS Wagon a little bit ago! This means my 06 Yellow H2 now has a big brother! I'm trying to upload pictures but not having much luck.

The coolest part about this (other than it being yellow of course) is the side tag that has the VIN and Date it was built.... January 17. MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I saw that date and had to buy it!
It's been a riot to drive! My jaw still hurts from all of the smiling!

Hey Joe, good to see you posting up over here. I lost touch right when you had it delivered. If you don't have a Photo Bucket account, you should set one up. It makes it really easy to put pictures on the forums. Save all your pictures on PB, click on the correct link, then right click and paste on your post and it will show up on the forum in all it's glory.
How's the new 1 doing for you? Hope you're enjoying it!

Hey Man! Sorry. I kinda fade in and out.
Yeah! I'm loving it! IT's a riot! No matter where I go, I get people staring. Even had a older lady pull up next to me in a prius at the gas station and all she would do is shake her head at me and saying something under her breath. I loved it!!!!
I do have a PB account. I haven't used it in a while. I will now though.

I've only had my H1 for a couple weeks now so I'm only a beginner at this. My humble opinion is the H1 and H2 are two different animals completely.

The H2 is a big beautiful comfortable ride. To me, it rides better than a Caddy. Quiet, comfortable, and a completly safe. Gas mileage could be better but thats the trade off. I think its more than worth it.

The H1 is a big heavy tank. Mine rides almost as nice as my H2. A little bit stiffer ride. A bit noisier. The biggest feeling I have is I feel like I'm driving a massive parade float. Just about everyone (mostly guys) stop and watch. Some clap, hoop, holler, and give a thumbs up. Maybe thats because you don't see too many of these around here. I pulled up next to a new yellow Corvette that was fixed up real nice. It was beautiful. Not one person was looking at that guy's Vette. All eyes on the H1. Guarentee while at the pumps, someone will say something to you. Good and bad. I have fun with the bad ones. You start to get the attitude that you dont care what anyone thinks. Knowing that the guy that has a huge Big Foot pickup, will never be able to follow you in a lot of areas they only dream of.
MAN! I'M ALL WORKED UP AND WANT TO KICK SOMEBODY'S *** NOW! I'll come off my pedestal now.

If you can read between the lines, I really love it and cant wait to take it out again!

Hey thanks for the review. I think that's probably one of the big reasons I want a 1---to see reactions from people!
I've got to give another forum member a call and see about taking his 1 out for a ride. How is visibility and actually navigating the parade float? Pain in the butt to get in and out of it with the bucket step in that it has? I know yours has the tubes, which has to make it alot easier.
I know what you mean about wanting to take it out for another ride--our 2 was in the driveway all day Christmas and we took it up the road to our friends house late that afternoon--I was dying to get it out and it felt great.
Any surprise issues with it yet?

Yeah, I got a bit carried away there.:-)
The first time I saw the inside, I couldnt believe how small the stearing wheel and seats are. I'm a big guy so getting in is a bit weird. Lift one leg, throw it in, slide in, lean way over, and pick up the other leg to slide that in. I dont use the tubes but my wife does. She made it perfectly clear the nerfs will stay! I'm still working on that. Seeing around the H1 is better than my H2. I was surprised. It seems to have bigger windows. Driving feels much bigger and wider. I got used to that pretty quick. Dont jump out in front of a big truck figuring it will move out fast. NOT. It's good, but compared to the H2 the take off is slower. My wife wanted me to do some work around the house today so I kept walking by the window and looking at it thinking I should be somewhere offroading!
No big surprises yet. Knock on wood.... Just small stuff. Replaced the PIAA lamps on the bush guard. Mostly cleaning up all of the damn rust! Bolts, lugs, engine compartment, etc.
