Default Which nerf bars?

I need some step bars so my wife can get in the H3 better. She has hip pain and it hurts her to get in the H3 with 285's. Which do you think? I am thinking the 4.5" wide aluminum extrusion so far.

I am looking at two styles:

Aluminum 4.5" x 2"

3" step bar

Would unbolt and remove for off-road trips a few times a year

Default I like the OEM tubular steps

I would look at some take offs I have a set but shipping would stink. You could pick up a set on Craigslist for 50-75 dollars.

I find them on craigslist for about $125-150, plenty on eBay as well. I think the rectangle set would have more stepping area, but the step points are placed pretty well for the stock style round tubes. Why not go for some sliders that stick out enough to be used as steps and kill two birds with one stone?

Default OEM rock sliders

The OEM ones do not stick out far enough for a step but they look and work so much better than the nerf bars.

I can't afford oem rock rails and the steps. Combined that is around $800

You can get Schwartzy's sliders for $590 and they should be able to be used as a step as well, negating the need to buy anything else.

Default With a 200 budget

I would really work craigslist and find some nice takeoffs. You can have my black oem nerf bars for less than 100 if you were closer. I picked up rock rails and UCP used in excellent condition for 400.00.

I like the rock rail look but I do not like the way the steps made for rock rails look.
