Need some honesty...

RE: Need some honesty...
Well most of the problems have been worked out
Lack of power - up to 3.7 (Now V8 availible)
Switches moved in 07
Rear Visibility - Back up camera now availible
The bulid quality is 1 of the reasons I got the H3 over the FJ.
The FJ's interior just CHEAP! Low quality plastics and flimzy compartments.
The thing I don't like is horn. It's way too weak for such a kick @ss ride.

What don't you like about your H3?
It's probably a difficult question to answer, and knowing message boards I'll get some replies that say there is nothing that you don't like, etc.
Thanks in advance for the honesty!

... I can't put 40" size tire on a stock form without puting a lift.

With gas prices and mpg concerns, whynot make the 3 w/ a Transfer Case that let's you run in 2 wheel drive? I do not need AWD full time to get groceries etc. when it is not winter time. You know that would boost on road mpg some.

Other requests - 5 speeds for auto; seat heater switches on console; more pockets for junk, incl. a good spot for my cell phone; bluetooth integration of cell phone; recirculate that doesn't turn on a/c; front input for iPod; H3 leans to the left and I don't want to deal with torsion bars and realignment.
These are all minor quibbles, very minor. You could put me in ANY vehicle and I'd find at least this much. None of those are dealbreakers, just items for GM to consider.

Here are the things I wished it had or changed to make it better -
Steering wheel controls for stereo.
More guages - Oil Press, Trans Temp, Alt.
Seat Heater switch is in the worse location I've ever seen. It always seems to get switched on.
Rear seats that can fold entirely flat.
Selector for 2WD or 4WD - don't need AWD all the time.
Bluetooth for Phone.
Aux input on Stereo for iPod.
Back hatch window that could open.
5 speed auto.
Auto down and up for power windows for both driver and pass.
Option for Gray leather interior, not just Black or Tan.
Integrated radio antenna.
These are things I wished it had. But I love still the same.

RE: Need some honesty...
Great points by all. So far, it sounds like the overall consensus is that there are quite a few "nice to haves" but no "gotta changes".
I thought it was odd that the rear hatch window couldn't be opened. My wife has a Jeep Liberty, and I have to use that for hauling lumber. Anything longer than about eight feet and I need to pop the window open.
I also thought it was strange that the rear view camera would only work when in reverse. There has to be a way to wire around that so you can have full time rear vision...
