So i have loved h3's since they came out and i finally have to oppotunity to buy a used one. It's an 06 manual transmission with 21k. Im really excited but someone my wife knows said the h3's are garbage and i shouldnt get it. I need some advice on how to convince her. Or is he right and they were junk??? I need help and suggestions? He mentioned the transmissions had issues. is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated im a day or two away from purchase. I really want my next post to be hey i got it!

there are quite a few H3/06 owners here to testify, the vehicle KICKS ***...someone who say they are not worthy, break out the proof!! they must be speakin "GREENY TALK"[8D] mine is the 06 5 speed and I have not driven a vehicle I like as much as my "BIGRED" in town I pull out 400 miles on a tank of gas...23gal.....17.4 mpg's....HWY about 20+ mpg's ....

 

Hello, this is Hummer Forums, did ya really think a bunch of us were gonna say your wife's friend knows what he is talking about???? [&o] Does your wife know any morons?
Ask him exactly what issues the manual transmissions have had that he is so knowledgeable about. Bet he doesn't have a clue.

If the previous owner knew how to drive a clutch, you should not have any issues that any other used vehicle might. Good luck.

To sway her you might go to HummerGuy.net. Show her the article on how the H3 was crushed and the people walked away virtually unharmed, or the one about how Hummer was just voted #2 (behind lexus) for customer satisfaction, or I say Screw it and buy it anyway, she'll like it, and if she doesn't GOOD! Just more wheel time for you.

 

Be assertive. Buy it anyway. Your wife will love and respect the new you.
