Ok new here and need help. I have an 06 H3 that has a difficult time keeping an idle. It starts up ok but i have to keep giving it gas so it does'nt die. When driving and i slow down to turn a corner it dies and i have to drop it in nutral to start it. I have replace the battery and has not helped. Thinking about replacing the spark plugs and if that does'nt help i'll replace the alternator. Just not sure if these items are the cause. Can anyone help me with this or give me any advise on what could be causing this issue.

a quik test,,unhook the air intake, the flex tube.
see if it makes a difference.
it could be a lot of things, do a search. 06 had head troubles

 

Make sure your MAF sensor on the intake is properly engaged. Are you getting anything in the display?
You could try cleaning the sensor. ONLY use MAF sensor cleaner and don't touch any of the tiny metal parts.
If you have Onstar you could get a read out from them.
Take it to an autoparts store that has a reader.
Or get a Scangauge II
Obvious question but have you checked the air cleaner?
If it is oiled maybe it was over oiled. (see clean MAF sensor)
Not knowing your vehicle history, a worse case scenario if it was an 06 with the head issues and has not been replaced is is finally having valve issues.
You may have to resort to a dealer if you know a good one.
It could be Camshaft position actuator solenoid valve and may be under warranty.
