Need to force my hummer H3 out of park
I have a problem and it's really frustrating. My stupid parking lot has a low hanging cieling near the front, where the hood of my car is located. To put it visually, imagine cieling that is tall in the back, but in the front it's really low, so like this is my hummer [===]_ with the underscore being the hood. Now the cieling is like this, -----_ with the underscore being the low part. What this does is it blocks my hood from opening so I can't get to the engine.
Annoying huh? Just move it out and open the hood right? NO! My battery is dead. I can jump start it, I have another car, and jumper cables, and have jumped cars before. Only problem is, the hummer is totally dead and I can't get it out of park and unlock the wheels so I can push it away from this stupid low hanging cieling. If there is someway I can force the hummer into neutral, unlock the wheels, and push it back, I could easily jumpstart it and be fine. Otherwise I'll have to call triple A just to friggin jumpstart a car.
So do you guys know how to force a hummer h3, automatic transmission, into neutral if the battery is totally dead? Thanks in advance.

one in front, one in back, and roll it out?
do you have enough room for that above the 3's roof once lifted, and the end of the vehicle next to the wall?
or if one end is too close to a wall, you can always attack it from the side and place a couple of these on that end
maybe you can purchase some from wal-mart then return them an hour later and get your money back

There are several inexpensive jump start/chargers on the market that work by plugging directly into your cigarette lighter receptacle instead of directly to the battery terminals. Takes longer, but it will do the job. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...6&blockType=L6

unlok the lok
"the fix"!
just lift the trim, that chunk of plastic with cup holders, the whole thing,NOT THE SHIFT BOOT! u will see a round button, spring loaded on the shift solenoid, silver, push it and shift!
unwind the tiny spring, tape the button in and its like a good old car, no more braking to release.
i didnt like fighting with the shifter in park when i need to pull the radio trim and the dinger making a racket! now no keys ma!
