Default Need Computer Help (Vista)

every time I close my laptop it goes into sleep mode and when I open it up it goes to the welcome screen and I have to click on my account to log in. underneath it it says my account is locked. I can not figure out how to unlock it and I dont know how it got locked. I should just be able to open my laptop and not have to go through the welcome screen first.can anyone help?

I believe there is an area in the screensaver section that asks if you want to sign in upon coming back or something like that. Look for that switch.

Yup he's right. There is an option that says "On Resume, password protect" You have to uncheck that box.

That seems like the fix but I went to that screen and it was unchecked, I tried it checked and unchecked and I am still havig the problem[:@]

Also I havent had much problems with vista, I undestand why some people do though, you really need a good performing computer (better than what is recomended) to run Vista well. I have 1 gig of ram, a dual-core processor and 556 MB graphics.

I've had vista on the laptop for awhile now and am used to it...I actually like it much better than xp.

I have the same thing everytime I open the notebook, the wlecome screen comes on and I have to click the user symbol...everytime!!!.Annoying but you get used to it.
