Same setup for me, with the same results- including the slightly rough idle. Not sure iftherough idle isinherentto the K&N or the reprogrammed PCM.

Take your filter and give it a half a turn on the intake pipe and make sure your MAF is properly in position with the bushings and foam gasket that came with the K&N kit...
Once my filter fell off and I noticed a rough idle until I put it back on..but there is some slight hesitaition or dip in RPM for a secondonce in a while, while it's idling.

Any recommends to help prevent a similar broken clip? Take out the coolant reservoir?

Dyno results anyone?
I'm all amped up over the PCMforless, yeppers... I'm a hater for not having one right now. That will be rectified soon enough.
Sitting here in my hotel room hoping my wireless connection stays on long enough for me to make this post (been flakey here).
Wondering if anyone has actually dynoed the PCM upgrades. I'm hearing that the K&N CAI claim around 18HP claim, then you have the cat-back folks claiming 8-10hp and then another handful of added HP with the PCM tuneup.
If a stocker 3.7 is 242HP, add a K&N, Catback and PCM seems like the HP gains would be around 35-40HP over stock. That's pretty huge in my book but I wonder are these real numbers???
I've got my K&N and Magnaflow Catback on order, should have then in the next week or two, planning on some MPG comparisons. I'm getting pretty darn good fuel mileage now. Really curious to se if the intake and exhaust help that any or will it just feel peppier and sound phatter. Not so sure added HP and torque will actually give me any better MPG or just make the Hummer humm better, more power and torque. That's OK, like I said, my MPG ain't bad right now and if I get more HP and torque from the upgrades that's cool but I'd really love to see a noticable increase in MPG as a bonus.
I don't pull anything with my Hummer, just road and off road trips. Would love to have added power for acceleration and better MPG at cruising speeds. I've noticed the stock system seems to downshift when climbing moderate grades, hoping the upgrades help that. I feel the PCM tweak may help that more than anything but I'm hoping the intake, exhaust add some lovin' too.

RE: Dyno results anyone?
Yes there is definate power gain across the spectrum..I would estimate with the seat of my pants that with a CAI/Cat-back and tune like I have,,the increase to the wheels would be closer to 25 to 30 more useable HP.
The Adventure Package drivetrain eats up 71% of the power developed at the flywheel...So, at the wheels is what matters...I had a previous tune done experimentallyon a lark..and it only was a small change to the timing and octane tables..but I still saw a gain even with the half-*** tune..it came with a 7 or 8 HP gain to the wheels according to a dyno chart we posted here...So PCMforless increaseis even more noticable.

RE: Dyno results anyone?
I took a trip over to Helena, MTfrom Great Falls this past Sunday. Just to put my drive in perspective Great Falls is over 3,300 ft in elevation and Helena is just over 4,000 ft. To get to Helena you have to cross the mountains, I was climbing some pretty goodgrades up in the mountains that were at an elevation around4,500ft +. The shifting was great going through the mountains on the interstate. I have a little over 312 miles on the pcm now, glad I did it!
Also have a Billy Boatdual exhaust on my 2006 adventure.

Hi Steve
Well I finaly had the time to change the computer. This is what I did
1: try to start the H3
2. turn off wait 5 seconds then turned key to the ON position waited 10 min and the light went off
3. turned the key off for 5 seconds truned key to the ON position and waited 10 min, it never turned off again it has been 20 min and it is still on.
What am I doing wrong?
