Thanks! So far they haven't visited my HR department. Until then, I'm not going to sweat it. I have a few other things I'm doing. I gave up the online video game retailer. Too much time and money I don't have unfortunately. I had to find out the hard way.

I did however get approached this week for a new project that is probably going to be like a second job, so I've been binge-buying computer upgrades to handle it. It's probably going to take a few months to complete, but alot of money involved so a little investment in equipment my prove to lead to a new business after all.

Funny how things work out sometimes.

Ok, since this has turned into computer talk I need help.

Apparently my laptop has picked something up, it keeps opening up random windows and the keyboard isn't responding right. I have to go back hit the letter again to make it take. I run Norton and once it gets half way through it turns the whole computer off.

Any ideas?

 

Restart the computer in safe mode and see if it does the same thing.... if so Norton missed something.... this happened to me one... I got a new virus scanner and it caught the virus...

eventually I downloaded all of my stuff and reformatted the HDD and installed a new copy of my backup.

 

Mine started doing that after I opened up the bowling stats in Impy's bowling e-mail. My IT guy said it was quicker to save the data and erase my hard drive and start over. Don't remember the name of the adware I picked up but our Symantec couldn't remove it, at leasy easily.

 

Got to love system restore!! So far so good.
