My H3 wheels...What ya think?
Ok so I bought a 2006 hummer H3 last month to replace my Colorado Z71. It was an exteded cab truck and I was looking for a 4 door Colorado to replace it. However I found a great deal on the H3 and couldn't pass it up. I really wanted to do another Colorado since I have fabricated and manufactured many offroad parts for it. However with this new purchase I have now taken on the challenge to build a few things for myself on my new H3 and will offer these in the future as products of Sinister Offroad as the demand for them comes up. I'm really excited to get this rig done up and prepared for my needs. I enjoy offroading and have built my last truck mostly to be a very capable snow wheeler, it has gotten me to places that most street trucks can't get to and only built buggies and trucks could go. I have plans of building a winch mount for front, rock sliders and a roof rack setup as well.
So the first project was to ditch the factory steps and the westin bullbar. Along with the "it has to go" stuff, were the 20 inch wheels and 33 inch tires. I did't want the socker mom/mall crawler look. I ordered the OEM brushguard that I will be modifying and found some stock wheels for the H3.
After looking around the forums I decided to go with metric 35 inch GoodYear Alltracks. These tires are great! The torsion bars are cranked up to sit the H3 level as well. It's amazing too that my fuel economy has actually risen almost a full MPG since the stock wheels and 35's were put on.
The stock wheels look good but I knew I could make them look better so I did some machining on them and welding, sent them out for powdercoat and here is what Ive got done. I'll post more photos when I get them installed.

PNW-H3, not a lot of guys on this forum that know how bead locks work or even know what they are.
Heck, most haven't even wheeled their HUMMERs so they don't know how lowering the tire pressure can effect traction offroad.
I think they look great! Your #2 design is out standing!
I would add some kind of escape holes for the mud/dirt/grime/snow that will collect in between the beadlock and the wheel.
