All you need to do is remove the mid-cabin resnator and put a new muffler in it's place
That's my next project. I cut the rear muffler off as you can see. It made a heck of a difference in throtlle response. The DocAir and my little muffler job really did make a difference.

Still working on the sound clip...

To each his own.

After years of loud cars and trucks (with exhaust and gear wine noise)I prefer to go in stealth mode now esecially on long trips and off road.

I guess I'm getting old?

An exaustcut-ut valve might be fun in tunnels etc.

Think that I'm going to cut off the mid resinator and add a Magnaflow/Flowmaster or something to make it a little deeper. But what I did works from me, a hell of alot cheaper than buying the exhaust kitCost me $40 for the pipe and the welding combined.

My Gibson exhaust replaced both the muffler and resonator . . . and I just love the sounds it has. Not quite as loud as the resonator-only system, but doesn't have that "pissed-off wee eater" sound . . . not to mention legal. I live in a beach community and the cops actually have muffler check blocks on Fridays and Saturdays.

I'm going to check out the sound clips online and see which one sounds the best. Although, I do realize that it's an I5 not a V8. You can only do so much with the sound.

I like my Gibson a lot too. I think it's a bit intrusive when the radio's not on when cruising around the city but not so much that I'd put the stock muffler back on.
