Default mpg on h3

I have an 2007 H3 . I have been getting 13.8 14.2 mpg . I am very disapointed with that . Can anyone tell me if there is a problem with the 07 h3 that would cause the poor mileage ?

Not enough information to go on..you'll have to explain your driving habits, type of fuel (winter blended, etc) Air pressure in tires..Motor oil used (break in period usually takes 2000 to 5000 miles)..Weather conditions as a constant ( cold weather will eat fuel...)..

So no, there seems to be no problem from what you've told us..

I have averaged around 14 mpg in the past with the 2006 H3.

You may want to try one of those pcmforless deals. They are supposed to boost fuel economy a little bit.
John, Have you noticed a difference in fuel economy since you purchased yours?

I just got the pcm back yesterday and put it on last night. I know not very scientific, since I just drove under 70 miles on the interstate, but I got 14 mpg with the 315 tires and the tune. I'm glad I didn't take a hit with the bigger tires.

I'll see how the mpg is after a few hundred miles, but I personally believe without the PCM for Less tune that I would have been gettingmuch lower in the mpg with the 315's.
