Default Monsoon System

I gave up my Alpha to my wife for a couple weeks to help limit my trips to the gas station. I have read many posts about people not liking the Monsoon system but I noticed today while driving her Jeep home that the sound was just not there. I had one of my favorite CD's playing and noticed that you could not hear certain instruments like I could in my H3. Don't know how long this trade will play out, although the Jeep has a nice ride, I will never give up my H3.

Although the H3's system doesnt sound nearly as good as an aftermarket system, I will say i was surprised when I first played it. I have the factory amp/ sub and its not bad. Normally I will change out the radio and speakers at my first opportunity but I actually don't mind this system.

Like you, I found that my wife's (possibly Monsoon, I cant remember what it is) system in her mazda sounds flat compared to my H3.

...if only the navigation made sense to use...

I quit using my nav system...$200 to update and I bought the TomTom iphone app for less than half.....plus having the nav at eye level is much safer....Hummer should have put the Nav system in place of the vents and moved the vents down....poor design. I do agree with the sound, I am sure there are better aftermarket but a Jeep worthy of the same price tag sounds terrible in comparison.
