I would like to sell my stereo head unit. It is a Monsoon 6 disk changer that was factory in my truck. My truck odo is 24,000 miles so this is basically a new unit. I never had any issues with it, I just upgraded to a nice touchscreen stereo system.

I read in the manual that a security code might be an issue to prevent people from selling stolen stereos and installing them into a different vehicle. I am not sure how this works, if you need a code or what, to install the new deck?

I am asking $50 bucks plus shipping for this unit. I would guess shipping would be around $10 or $15 bucks. Again this transaction would work on the honor system. You send me a certified check, and I ship you a nice deck with zero flaws.

im keeping my h3,"forever' and i like the audio,as,is. so id like a backup since the repair cost would be impossible if it breaks.
some questions,,,
if i get your radio with proof of purchase that satisfies the dealer that i didnt steall it,and i install it to know it does work, then;
does the dealer prog the radio with my vin or prog my h3 computer with a new radio number?. if so will my old radio still work or need to be programmed again sometime in the future?

so can i have 2 radios that will work?
ill call and arrange the buy, but im looking for that info from someone.

 

I am still not sure about swapping stereos to different vehicles. Has anyone else tried this?
