Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ - Tire Pressure?
I just bought a H3, and it already has Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Tires (LT285/75R16) on stock rims .... there is about 90% tread wear remaining ..
I have been complaining a bit about my gas mileage (and yes I know, it's an H3 ) but I checked my tires today for the first time as I have only had it for a week or so.
They were at 32PSI, cold ... and the Max. tire pressure on these tires is rated to be 65 PSI cold.
What would be the optimal PSI for these, for normal street driving to get the best gas mileage possible (yeah, yeah ... I didnt buy it for gas mileage, but gotta start with the obvious.)
I'm just trying to get the tires inflated properly and cannot find any info specific to these tires, or a recommended tire pressure.
Thanks in advance.
David
P.S. - I'm not worried about how smooth the ride is, it's a truck

Try 38-40PSIfor the street. Spend a little extra time getting them all even because the pressure senders like it that way, to avoidfalse tire PSI alerts later.

I bought a 2006, so no pressure sensors to worry about (although important to all be the same of course)
I threw 45 PSI in them today cold, just cause I didnt know where to start ... I just knew 32 was low.
