max wheel spacer size?
What's the max. thickness of a wheel spacer (just the stick on plates, not the ones with the extra studs) that can go on? I know I can just measure it myself, but I'm sitting at work right now, so if someone knows, it would be nice How much do the studs protrude from the wheel. I would like to get at least 5 turns from the nut...
If no one knows, I'll take the measurements and post them here on the forum for future reference. cheers

I would highly advise against using a wheel spacer like you have described. This is an 8 Lug truck and if you are putting on wider tires you are putting even more stress on your lug nuts. If you are going to use any kind of spacers get the ones that have there own lugs.
BTW you are totally going to wear out your hubs faster if you put spacers on.....

No not many people do it for the reasons Hummin mentioned above and if someone has its usually temporary.
For wider wheels you need a different rim and offset to put the wheels out but keep the proper hub depth.

1 1/2" spacers or adapters? If they are spacers then your wheels are no longer hub centric because your hub does not come out that far to keep the wheel centered. Do you have any vibrations on the highway?
