I've got a 5speed with a lot of miles left on my powertrain warranty, if my clutch or transmission goes out, I don't want to find out afterwards that it's not covered because I had the larger tires.

I'll definitely call around the GM dealers and be certain that they'll still cover it before I upgrade.

Default Deciding which tires/wheels to go with...

Hi guys, my name is Troy, I'm new to the site...just bought an 06 H3 and want to put a dirt tire on her. I actually put a deposit down on some 18" wheels w/a 33 dirt tire. I'm just trying to figure out, if I'll be satisfied with the 18's, or wish I had put 20's on? I love the look of a somewhat wide tire with dirt tread. Is there really that much of a difference in look from the 18 to a 20?

Help a newbie out?

The "look" is a personal preference. It's what YOU like.
I personally like 16's on a H3, with a taller beefier sidewall tire.
Others like a larger rim like a 18 or 20 but the tire sidewall will be shorter.

So do what you want, it's your truck.
I like less rim, more tire. If you like more rim, less tire - go for it.

Thanks, Bunger! That's actually the look I'm going with...the beefier tire with less rim. Cool, I think I'm ok with the 18's then. Heck, if I had known I could put 33's on 16's I would have done that. That's why I'm a newbie, lol!

Cool...so 18's with 33 tire should be a pretty cool look...more tire
