Does anyone have any trail reccomendations in Maistee National Forest in close proximity to Silver Lake? It's a ways off, but I'm planning on a trip there next year for some camping and playing on the dunes. I really like trail driving though and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. This will be a family trip so my wife and little girl will be with me, so nothing too insane. Also, are there any trails at all located at Silver Lake or are the Dunes the only wheeling entertainment?

Sorry to step on your feet tros but I wouldn't suggest going down "any" trails that are not DNR approved for ORV use. I would also never promote any wheeling that wasn't legal and if you are cought on an illegal wheeling spot by the DNR it is a really hefty fine. And NO they don't give you a second chance for pleading ignorant.

If you don't see this sign or a posting I would stay off of it!
