Make the horn go BEEP when you lock the door with the remote?
Hi guys, I'm new here. I own a 08 H3 Lux. I love the car in every way, except when I'm leaving the car,i hit the lock button on the remote and no beep sound from the horns to confirm that the doors are locked!
I always 2nd guess myself and turn around and look at the lights flash to make sure the doors indeed locked.
so my question is, is there any way to make the horn go beep when i hit the lock button on the remote?
thanks in advance
Joseph

RE: Make the horn go BEEP when you lock the door with the remote?
We did that with our '08 H3. I guess the default is no beep and having it beep means not having to do what you said- turn around to verify the lights flashed.
The procedure is in the owner's manual and, as I recall, is quite simple. Sorry I don't have the manual in front of me. It's in the car and it's 5:00AM (my 2 year old woke me up) and freezing outside.
Good luck with your new Alpha!

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Feedback

To set your choice for this feature, perform the
following steps:
1. With the engine off, turn the key to LOCK.
Do not remove the key from the ignition.

on the RKE transmitter at the same time.
Hold both buttons until the DIC display shows
the current RKE feedback mode.
3. To view the next available mode, press and
hold the reset stem for about two seconds.
Release the reset stem and press and
hold again to view each mode.
4. Once the desired mode is shown on the DIC
