Maintenance Schedule for a 2004 H1 wagon?
Is there a "maintenance schedule" for the 2004 hummer, or does the dealer arbitrarily come up with what needs to be serviced when I bring it in for an issue? I have a dealer telling a friend that he needs over 3k in "maintenance" or "preventative" maintenance and the list seems extremely excessive (if not totally unnecessary) given the fact that the car has just over 10k miles and has never been off-road....
anyone have access to a maintenance schedule for a H1 so I can see if the dealer is trying to screw my buddy? Much appreciated.

Let me get my manual. Should be in the back of his manual. The 12000 mile service is a big one. They go through everything. Unless he has some issues should only cost about 1/2 that. I would have try another dealer. I'll post the 12000 mile maintenance info shortly.

thank you so much....i look forward to seeing these items.
he jsut threw a CEL so he took it to the dealer and had it checked out. The car has been well-maintained by other local authorized dealers and never had a hiccup. He takes it to a new dealer and all this stuff magically needs to be replaced. Naturally, we are a bit skeptical.
this is what I have the dealer telling him he should have done:
induction service $110.00,
fuel injector flush,$100.00,
front and rear differential flush,$150.00 each,
all 4 wheels hub service,$120.00 each,
both batteries are weak,to replace them $585.00,
oil service
2 hour diagnosis for the service engine warning which are fault codes P0401 and P0106,
EGR valve at $380.82,labor $240.00,
map sensor,$285.00,labor $240.00

Change oil & filter, Replace or clean air filter, replace fuel filter, change geared hub oil, change axle oil, change transmission and transfer case fluid, change transmission filter, Check brakes, parking brake, check for leaks, check wheel lug nut torque, check tires, check condition of all lines, inspect u-joint, engine mounts, shift cables, CTIS system, winch, ball joints and grease as required, check fuel injection pump, lines, fittings, serpentine belt condition, battery and voltage, rotate tires, check exhaust system, half shafts, boots & seals, tie rods, steering arm, idler arm, fuel tank vent line filter, A/C system, wheel alignment, radiator, condenser, power steering, charge the A/C, check power steering pump, gear, hoses, inspect all wiring harnesses, fuel tank, lines and cap.As you can tell they do a stem to stern inspection and some stuff they replace as amatter of course some would be extra. My 1997 wagon just went through one and with the extra parts ir was $1800.00.

Minor service at 6000 mile intervals and the bigger service is at 12000 miles intervals. Dealer should be able to pull up what the last service was. If the regular maintenance was being done there shouldn't be that much going on with the truck.
