Hi, I just got my Magnaflow Exhaust.I'm going to install it this weekend. My question is dose anyone know the torques for the nut and nut size for the flange on the cat? Thank for any help.

Mind if I ask what you paid? Mine is being delivered tomorrow for my Alpha. Got it on e-bay. New, shipping included, $389! The local Tuffy Muffler shop is installing it for $50. $439 installed is a great deal considering Magnaflow list price is $785 for just the kit!

so can anyone with the magnaflow cat back kit for the 3.5 tell me what your kit sounds like when driving at about 2000-2500rpm? i get a serious coffee can drone.
i bought the kit used on ebay so of course ive always been leary if something was wrong with it. i took it to a shop and they found a leak on the resonator and said if i put a bigger resonator the drone would go away. so i did and while it sounds much better all around, the drone at 2000-2500rpm is still the same and still bothers me. i just wanna know if maybe im just being critical? or if the muffler is defective. thanks fellas

Mine has the drone at that RPM range also. I think it sounds great, so I have no complaints. I don't think you have any problems with yours.

i would say something was wrong with mine, i've included a pic down below. this is with my camera right up against the inlet looking thru the muffler. notice the insulation closer to the camera is all in tact, and there is a completely blown out section in the middle(which gave it a horrendous drone). the ebayer i bought it used from said it only had 4k on the kit. i only put 4k on as well, but it sounded like crap since day 1 i had it. anyways, a product with a lifetime warranty probably shouldnt go bad within as little as 8k miles. keep your receipts! good luck fellas

I bought my magnaflo new and I too have drone at 2000-2500 miles... wish there was something I could do to quite it.... If I had my original exhaust I would just put it back on...

Anyone in NC want to trade their factory exhaust for a Magnaflo (2006)
