kinda sounds like a pressure issue.... if you can shift through the gears but it won't do it automatically My thoughts are you are getting a rebuild....

then again... if you have dropped a pan on a new tranny... the amount of wires in there it could be anything... hence the lubed internal parts...

 

Did you change your trans. fluid and filter at the 50K maintenance interval? Did you check the fluid level?
They cannot commit to warranty coverage because you called with a problem. They need to tear it down and find out what puked. The 4L60 E trans is a good one, but very persnickety about heat and trans fluid quality. I've killed three of them (not in any Hummers) and when they cook, the bands get chewed up and the pieces get in the valve body and she no worky no mo.

I think you have no worries. Warranty will cover it, unless it is PCM electronic shifting related. Not likely, but not impossible.

 

Right O' Doc, the 4L60 is a good tranny



It's used in a Yukon XL and that's a heavy hauler! Strange that 1st gear puked like that and not the whole tranny.

 

I have a 2007 H2X and it has the 100K warranty. Sometimes mine will not shift in 4th. I put it in neutral, rev the engine and when I put it in drve it shifts to 4th. I haven't taken it in yet for service.

 

Good Morning all...my H3 is in the shop and I took a "Service Tech" for a drive when I got there...he looked me in the eye and said "I think you are having a transmission problem"...Well...really?? That is why I took it in...LMAO!! They do feel that it will be covered under Power Train...I will keep you posted as they keep me posted!!

I hate to say this but some of these so called "service techs" are dumber then dirt! And I hate to say this also but they treat women the same way. Just ask Solarflare. They tried to give her the business only because she was a female. Hang tough and don't let then get away with anything!

Ok Guys...here is the update...my dealership called and the clutches went bad in my tranny...IT IS COVERED UNDER POWER TRAIN!! They are bringing me a rental car over and it should be done tomorrow!! I will give you more details after I go to the dealership and get the nitty gritty on the problem...
