Default Lost my Drive in my Tranny

I am soooo mad right now!! Driving home last night, I went to accel to get around a tractor trailer and when I punched it, the car violently shook and then lost all forward motion. The engine revs, but I have no movement. However, when when I drop it down to second, it moves...I can then work it back up the gears to Drive and it moves...But then when it comes to stopping, I have to work the gears back down...WHAT HAPPENED?? The dealership is telling me that it may not be covered under my powertrain warranty...It is a 2007 H3 with 60K on it...Please let me know what you guys think it could be...Oh yea...this is the same H3 that had the cracked exhaust manifold and snapped shifter cable...I am ready to run it into a tree!!

Thanks for letting me vent and I can't wait to hear what you all think it is!!

Why in the world would this not be covered under powertrain warranty? The powertrain includes transmission and differentials.

Edit: Oh. Sorry. Are you over the mileage limit? I have an '08.

I thought the warranty was 4years 50K miles but that it was 100K on drive train. That is for the 08s but I think it was the same for 07s.

Power Train is to 100K...so I am 40K under that...I agree...should be covered, but I was told that the power train only covers "Lubed Internal Parts"...so if it is not that...then it is not covered...The H3 is not throwing any codes and no warning lights are coming on...I can't wait to see what they say on Monday...

I can't imagine it wouldn't be covered. Everything in the transmission is lubed and internal. Sounds kinda odd they would throw that out there on you.

If it is within the caseing including the case this should be covered. drive train include everything from the front of the engine to the rear axle. don't let them screw you over.

dude, that is BS! it has to be covered. dont let them jerk you around with that 'lubed' crap. i know nothing about cars, but i thought that was the wholepoint of tranny fluid?
just look on the hummer website or google gm powertrain warranty. good luck...and SORRY!

I would get a hold of someone higher up in the chain than the dealer. That has to be included in the warranty.

Only think outside the tranny case might be some linkage but I can't imagine that they wouldn't cover whatever it was. Let us know what they say.
