Default Losing Antifreeze

I Have 20k miles on my h3, and have had to add a quart of antifreeze on 3 separate occasions, the first time, when it was a week old, this last oil change i had residue on the oil cap. does this mean its blowing in on one of the seals. Thanks Jason

Could be the start of a head gasket problem. I would have a pressure check on each cylinder done. That should let you know if you have a small gasket leak.

One other thing..Change your oil right now or get it to the dealers immediately..Because water /coolant in the oil will destroy the engine soon..

its a very slow leak, it was down a quart when i picked it up, didnt think anything of it just filled it, but had to add 2 quarts in the last 20k miles, I just changed my oil last week, I am trading it in tommorrow, for a 07 H2 so its the dealers problem now,

Chris beat me to it....A lot of times, core leaks go unnoticed for a while besides the strong smell of coolant, because it (the coolant) drips out the A/C condesate drain pipe beneath the car.
