Hey guys,

If you grab your racks and tug forward or aft, do yours slide at all? Mine do and I have tried everything I can think of to get them to stop moving. The only thing that I've found to work is to bang the front part of the black plastic backwards with my fist. that seems to jam them in place. If I don't the rattling drives me crazy.Am I missing something here????[sm=dontgetit.gif]

Thanks.....
I found the same thing with an aftermarket roof rail but not with the oem version.

I have the OEM ones there is also some adjustment that you can do to them. The instructions that came with them showed a couple of screws you can mess around with. I threw out the instructions already so if you have them maybe that will help too.

I have theOEM roof racks and they also are loose a little....but nothing to worry about. I do not have the rattlingnoise though as you were describing. They only move slightly until it meets the right spot in the rail, when I push it to that spot that is secure.I just cannot tighten thelock in thatposition, I am afraid of breaking thecheap plastic handles.

Hey SteveO, that's how I feel, that if I push the lock arms too hard they will break. If I lock the arms and then push the rack into place it's ok. I guess I was thinking that it would lock into place a little better than it does with all that motion with the locking arms and all. It seems kind of low tech....One would think it would be rock solid.....
