Mark, on my reverse camera there is a button to reverse the image or to show normal. Actually right now I have it mounted on the roof (inside) with velcro so I can see the baby.

Race optics has what you could use... like you said around $1400

You would still have to come up with some type of wiper system to keep the mud out... like they have on the tops of the racecars...

YES! perfect. I could use this on the M3 as well for when I track it.
