Default lock mode damage

recently a guy fried his t case fluid,and what else? lock mode troubles show up here years back as I see it by searching. a guy did a warning light,anothed added a kill switch,
what happens when the guy said he drove 10 miles on a dry road?
anytime the h3 is driven in lock on dry roads there is stress on everything. where does it go?
driving down a precise straight road is no problem. now picture taking a sweeping turn,pressure builds up and if the tires cannot break free the binding stays there causing heat. if you make the turn and go straight again the stress is still there till you turn the other way,exactly the same as the previous turn. its hard to figure when it gets released.

even the slightest turn starts the stress and in some cases it gets canceled by other turns. I bet theres a lote of slightly worn t cases/diffs out there because of it. could contribut to u joint failure too huh?
I finally did the warning light on mine,taking no chances,jfwiw

Thanks for the write up. Good to know. I never put mine in 4hi lock on paved roads but maybe for a mile down the road once a month or so to engage it.
