Vox, that is exactly the problem. It is so hard to find any in my area and this is really the only deal in town.

I checked it out yesterday and talked to the Chevy salesman (Hummer sales ppl were off) anyways its a beautiful H3. Gray has the front grill the same body color and the interior was kept in well condition. I am still trying to work out the details, but I want her to come home with me .

The price is $15,000 to $20,000 of new in 2008, that ain't bad really. Does it have the heavy duty off road package?

Unfortunately, that is the only thing it lacks or I would be all over this thing. I have had a terribly hard time finding an Alpha with the Off Road package even remotely close to me.

It does however have everything else. Navi, Sunroof, Leather, Tow pack, Chrome pack, grille, sidesteps.

I bought mine using cargurus.com

i found the cheapest H3 alpha in Texas. I got it from a credit union. Of course, you have to do your homework. Carfax, independent inspection, and lots of pics.

good luck!

there are 33 listings nationwide for alphas. from 25k to 31k (cargurus.com)

the cheapest is from "carmax" which i think was listed when i bought mine. I don't know much about that place, but the 2nd one for 25,888 looks just like mine

WOW thank you so much for that link. I actually just looked and I have found an Alpha with the offroad package in CT for $28,999 from a GM dealer. I just emailed them to see the truck. It has about 29k miles, so a little more than the Karl Hummer one but at a much better price.

Well just a little update. I went and spoke with the Dealer who has an 08 Gray Alpha (not Karl) and I am very interested. We are currently working out the numbers and everything, but it is a strong possibility .

Does anyone know what the insurance difference might be between an Alpha and a base H3? I am expecting it to not be as much.

I went from an 06 into an 08 Alpha and my premium went up a few dollars, very negligible

Most of it probably depends on your driving history and your relationship with your insurance company

Well, I put a deposit down on it and just waiting to hear back on all the sticky financial info. Here is to hoping all goes well

I spoke to the insurance company and they said the premium only will go up about $2 a month. Not bad at all.
