Light Bar "ON" with Brites!
Ok,
Hear is what I want to do. I love my XTC light bar but I would like it to come on with my brites but still have the seperate switch work for it at well. Does anyone have any idea how I can wire my fuse box safely so it can be done? And I dont want to hear about how it is illegal to drive with your light bar on. I know its illegal and I dont care. Just like you dont care if you are speeding 5 over.
I have noticed that the XTClight bar and Brites combined is awesome.

In order to do this correctly, you need a relay and tap into the high beam +12 volt wire to trip the relay. You should be able to use your existing relay for your light bar, but instead of wiring it to the switch for 12 volt supply - you will need to wire it to the 12 volt high beam wire.
Any stereo shop can get you fixed up really easily. In order for you to still use the switch and the highbeams to activate light bar, you should have them install a diode in case both HBs & swtich are on at the same time (This will provide circuit protection).

True, but if a cop sees you w/ your roof lights on he prob will be much less happy then w/ just some high beams. Not trying to be a pansy, i run my off road lights all the time on the streets, they let me see much better, and as soon as i get some roofers, i run them too.

Tomp thanks for the heads up. I totally understand that concept of doing it.I am actually looking for the physical locations of where the connections should be made. I plan on doing this the comming weekend but just looking to see if anyone has already done this as it will save me a ton of time with the multimeter! lol
Thanks,
Eric
