leveling front end with torsion bolt adjustment
When i adjust the torsion bolts do I need new shocks or anything else for that matter.. or is just adjusting the bolts fine to get that level look. What I am trying to do is put a bigger tire on so I wont have any rubbing. my plan is only to step up to a 285/75/16, some people have told me i should go to 305/70/16, I would really like to hear some of your opinions on this. my main concern is once i adjust the torsion bolts is if I will need to get anything else like shocks, etc. please any advice would be greatfull. thanks in advance

Its not a bad idea to get new shocks but u dont got to if u dont want to, also its a good idea to get new bumpers also but once again its up to u, u shouldnt level the front more than 2 and a half inches i think or 22.25 inches from the center of ur rim to the fender, im sure someone else will chime in with the correct info u need. If u run 305's they will fit fine i leveled my H3 and im running 22" rims with 305's and have no issues at all and planning to get 325' when my tires wear out. Hope this was a little helpful.

Ok I will post proper info when I get on a computer (iPhone right now)
but you do not need new bumpers!!!! Shocks are not manditory and you can turn your tbars up to 24 from center of hub to fender.
Hondo where you gettin your info?

They're "bump stops" not "bumpers" that get replaced. Bump stops are rubber cylinders that limit the upward travel of your suspension. Most people replace the stock bump stops with new stops that are 1/2" longer than stock.

I have the truxxxxx leveling lift that came with shock spacers and some other things that go on the torsion bolts. I just read it some where on here its a good idea to use new bumpers and new shocks but i dont see why. On the instruction for my lift it says u shouldnt adjust any higher than 24.25 inches from fender to center wheel hub, i think i said 23.25 earlier my mistake. Anyway anything higher than 24.25 will cause premature cv joint, tie rod, and ball joint wear. But u should get a alignment after mine needed one it throws it off.
