Default Lets talk about Bump Stops!

Ok so Ive combed the cyber world searching for OEM bump stops as the ones on my 3 look like a rat has eaten through them! I constantly come upon the polyurethane by Trail Duty. Trail Duty Hummer H3 Extended Front Bump Stops But these are extended type and I dont plan to level the H3.

Can anyone point me to a site for OEM height BS. If they were Poly that would be awesome, but not necessary, for my wifes grocery hauler.

They were the same on my 06 and my 08 Alpha because I ran the same 1/2 inch longer modified ones I made on both. Poly material even the same length could be stiffer than the progressive stock (springs) as GM lists them. The original OEM were available thru dealers but of course not sure about that now.
I run the Trail Duty 1/2 inch longer ones now lifted to 23 1/2 for clearance issues with modified tie rods and extended anti-sway bar links. That is only about an inch over the stock settings of 22 1/2. I however run a Warn PowerPlant winch and brushguard which adds some weight on the front end so needed to lift it some. That extra weight probably compresses those bump stops more.

Sounds like Hunner is talking about an 06 and 08 ALPHA. I got the Base I5 5cyl engine. I really dont think its an issue either, should be the same suspension, if anything the Alpha bumpstops might be stiffer, which is cool. I can't see the Alpha having any difference in height/gap between the lower control arm and the bump stop.

Ok Im gonna PM you with the details of the purchase. Great looking out RGray711!

Like Hunner said, the OEM bump stops are made for the H3 as progressive stops work with the shocks to create the entire suspension dampening system. The TD bumps though longer would be great if they were progressive but they are not.

I've had both my H3's levels and I choose to leave the OEM bumps in even after owning the TD bumps. They just work rite where the TD's do not.

Ah ha! I get what you mean by progressive now, the "squiggly shape of the OEM" and the soft material! I know that Poly is has much less pliable and thus unable to be progressive unless it perhaps was hollowed out in some way? Or you can put a beautiful Warn Winch on the front and get "progression" from the polys lol!

Well im stoked that RGray has a set for me, cause I cant find the OEM anywhere!!

This is my wifes ride so there will be no leveling goin on, but I do need to replace current BS as they look like a rat ate through them! some affordable pro comp 9000 shocks will also come soon.
