Because here is what happened.

HUMMER was sold off. Everybody freaked out, and thought nobody is gonna want to buy a vehicle that isn't made anymore. So everybody dropped their pricing on HUMMER's like a bag of AID's to get them sold. Then, once the market started picking up for HUMMER's (namely because people are realizing how great of a vehicle they are), dealerships started jacking up the prices. So now what we have is a market of consistantly more expensive HUMMER's because everybody wants one as their toy.

With that being said, certain geographical locations are cheaper/pricier than others. But in general, the cost of a HUMMER is increasing (hence you see 2006 H2's selling for 40k+ sometimes around here).

and low 20's is about right in my area. There's a few for sale here and all seem to be around 20 to 24k.

Yeh, makes sense a bit.. However, in this economy, there are not a whole heap of people picking up vehicles..

I'm thinkin' about calling the dealership and offering him $21.5 and see what they say..

I might could find a better deal somewhere, but not in my town - smallville, USA.. I'd have to travel.. That trip will cost me a.) time b.) money - so if I could pay a little more today to save all that headache, it may be worth it..

Yeh, I like it..

Well, I didn't come home with a hummer today.. They are pretty firm on their $22.5 and at 51K, I just couldn't drop the change..

I'll find one.. The search continues...

$22.5 isnt a horrible price....but you could prob find one with lower miles.
