No doubt, when I got mine as a gift I almost unloaded it but just couldn't do it as my parents always ask how I like it.

Sorry if I offended anyone who had/has hood handles. I should choose my wording better, I guess. I was trying to relay the fact of how pricey they are, not that I don't like them (if I could get a good quality set for cheap they would be on in a heartbeat). However, alot of things for hummers are expensive.

Default If you have a ladder I think it would sell quick

Used ladders are very hard to find I looked for a long time before giving in and buying a new one.

They're only that expensive if you are stupid enough to buy them from those overpriced bling retailers.
I bought triple chrome plated billet aluminum handles for under $60 after shopping around. I sandblasted the chrome off and sprayed them with Rustoleum bedliner $7.

Now that's more reasonable, I saw a price the other day of over $200 and it baffled me..... That is basically where my comments came from.

Actually mine are quite functional, bolted through they allow me to get my butt up on the hood to wash the middle 2" of the windshield and hood that I can't otherwise reach.

Watch fleabay, You can find the factory H2 handles cheap at times. Picked mine up for 40 bucks shipped though they do require a little fitting to match the hood angle properly. Still a cheap mod.
Plus you can always hook your synth line to it while running offroad instead of playing go fish if that puddle actually turns out to be a lake.

i actually just got h2 hood handles yesterday and used a heat gun to bend it to the contour of the h3 grill. i then sanded and spray painted them best i could to match the grey/black color of the hood vent... its still a little off but shouldnt be too noticeable in the sun.
now i just have to figure out how to separate the hood vent from the hood now that the recall has them glued on. after i do that, then i just cut out rubber neoprene gaskets to fill any slight gap and bolt them down with locknuts.

The factory ones are solid chunks of metal. I used a bandsaw to get the correct angles then drilled through the louver and hood to bolt them on so they can actually be used to grab on to.

Default Gobi ladder installed

I will get some pictures, very easy to install and It looks great. No more hanging on a tire to load the roof rack... Now the kids can use the ladder and load the rack for me.
