That is supposed to happen, it is a security measure. Jump it, or take the battery out, and test the bettery. When you get the battery voltage where it is supposed to be, the key willcome out no problem.

Haven't had it happen on the three but that is the way it works in the H2. Key won't come out, can't move the shifter, etc. If the battery isn't bad just attach a charger and that will take care of it. Since you didn't post a year it is hard to tell how old your battery might be. If it is relatively new and you didn't leave your lights on the next question would be if you have any aftermarket accessories like off road lights, DVD players, etc. That is the next most likely culprit. Many times they are not properly installed and draw current even when the truck is off.
