100% of the H3s that received a defective head will have to have it replaced.

Who the heck are you anyway?

Okay...seriously here though...I'm afraid I will be out of warranty in time, long before I accumulate the miles....So All I'm looking for is if I have this problem rear it's ugly head, that GM will fix it with the 2007 type warranty range ...In other words grandfather the warranty of the 07 models to the 06 models...That to me would be the simplist fix to allus 06 owners

I was just kidding H3Head.
I still think whenever I see something about a head replacement that I'm picturing people's heads falling off. Yes, I'm a bit odd
This head issue will cause everybody to loose their head, literally and metaphorically
Dennis:
I and the folks like me that fall into that VIN range will eventually need our heads examined. I needed my head examined LONG before this started happening

If I were to take into account the poll then the figures rise to 2% of all forum members. Also if we were to take into account production numbers from inception through 2/2006 (Instead of all 2006 H3s) then the number rises to roughly 2.5% assuming that the number of head problems is currently only 1100. These numbers are by no means 100% accurate. Only time will tell if the number jumps up drastically or not.
As for me If I were to get rid of my H3 it would be to trade it in for one of those H3xs like the one Kild1 has.

RDoggy, BUT, when youDO go by the poll, there are more that have had the issue. Also, I suspect there are numerous people out there who have had the issue arise who are perhaps not Internet (or research) savvy enough to find this site and disclose it.
However, you alsomake a good point in thatI would like to assume that not every H3 out there that falls into the vin range (pre new design) which would be thousands -will have this issue. I am sure there are far more out there that may never encounter the problem than those of us who have<crossing fingers for them!> The fact that I did have this issue has never made me question my decision to purchase it, NOR taken away one ounce of my love [sm=smiley27.gif]for it!
