JET CHIPS
Just to let anyone who is interseted know JET is in the process of finishing up a Chip for the H3. I talked to the tech rep they are looking at a month or so to put it on the market. They said approx HP gain 16 to 20.

RE: JET CHIPS
I talked to JET again today he said about 2 more weeks and the chip will be on the market. He said it would be a piggy back plug in module that connects in with the wire harness. He said also about 13 to 15 more ftpounds of torque to the rear wheels. Full specs are not avaiable as of yet. But they sounded pretty good. The price will be approx. $309.00 to $319.99.

RE: JET CHIPS
I can't wait to see how this thing works. I noticed that if you get the Stage 2 you get more performance but you have to use premium gas. So the question is, what is the performance difference between a Stage 1 and Stage 2 chip?

RE: JET CHIPS
They may say you need premium fuel but that is NOT true. I worked with a man from BP and he said that all the added octane is just a detergent that will cut down on pings in the engine. It does nothing for performance as gas is gas. Save your money and buy the 87 not 93. Just an FYI.

RE: JET CHIPS
Higher octane fuel burns slower and that is how it reduces detonation. If the chip retards timing at higher RPM, you may need to burn 92 octane to take advantage of the slower burn to get full power. If you burn lower octane fuel, you may actually hurt your performance because the fuel will have already started to burn before the piston starts to travel down on the power stroke. This could also have the same effect of preignition on the engine components. If they recommend high octane, it would behoove you to use it. They don't make any money off of the sale of fuel, so they have no reason to tell you to buy something you don't need, other then that is what thier research has shown to be benificial.
